What does Summer Fun Week cost?

Weeks fill quickly! We encourage you to register as soon as possible. Vaulting Week costs $350 per week.

What is the daily schedule?

Weekly sessions are Monday-Wednesday (for Vaulting) or Monday-Thursday (for Respite Care), from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. Students do a variety of ground work and mounted work each day with the horses.

Is lunch provided?

All participants need to bring their own lunch and 2 snacks. A refrigerator and microwave are available for Summer Fun Week.

What else does my participant need to bring?

Water bottle, sunscreen, a hat. An old shirt for painting in. Please label all items so they do not get lost! And most important- Bring a desire to have fun and learn!

Does my participant have to wear a helmet?

Each rider is required to wear an ASTM–SEI Certified horseback riding helmet. Hearts & Horses have helmets of all sizes available for participants to wear if they do not have their own.

What is the deadline for registering for Summer Fun Week?

All paperwork and payment must be received by May 24, 2019.

What is the Horse Show?

Each week ends with a Horse Show where participants show off what they’ve learned! Horse Shows are held on Wednesdays (for Vaulting) or Thursdays (for Respite Care) at 1:30 pm, last about an hour, and are held in the Lucky Hearts Arena. Family and friends are welcome to attend. Participants can be signed out after the Horse Show has ended.

What should my participant wear?

Long pants, close toed shoes (preferably a boot with a heel). Clothing gets dirty in the barn! Please wear things you don’t mind getting dirty! Bring a sweatshirt/rain coat.

Can I get a refund on my Summer Fun Week fees?

All refunds requested up to 4 weeks prior to the start of the scheduled week will be charged a $75 cancellation fee. Any refunds after 4 weeks prior to the start of the scheduled week require a documented illness or injury and will also be charged a $75 cancellation fee.

How do I sign up a participant with disabilities for All Abilities?

Hearts & Horses is proud to partner with Respite Care for our two All-Abilities weeks. All participants with disabilities should contact Respite Care for more details.
