Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Hearts and Horses Therapeutic Riding Center. Without volunteers we simply could not exist. Please read the instructions below in order to get started with us!

1. All volunteers must sign up to attend an Orientation before being able to volunteer in any capacity at Hearts and Horses. All orientations are in the red modular classroom just to the east of the office. This is the first step to volunteering!

2. Specialized Trainings: SIGN UP BY CALLING 970.663-4200

Arena Training - In order to become an arena volunteer for our therapeutic riding, hippotherapy or Changing Leads classes please sign up to attend one of the following Arena trainings:

February 18, 2012
March 10, 2012

Time: 12-3:30 pm Sidewalker and Horse Handler training

3:30-5:00 pm Horse Handing Assessments

Changing Leads Training - In order to volunteer within the Changing Leads program you must have enough horse knowledge and experience to be able to teach the student you're paired with. In addition you must attend one of the following Changing Leads trainings:

March 5, 2012 - 9am-12pm

3. Scroll to the bottom of this page and print out the "Volunteer Application." You will need to fill it out and bring it with you to orientation. If you are completing community service hours for court, please bring your court paperwork with you. The "Volunteer Update Form" at the bottom of this page is for existing volunteers. We ask that everyone update their paperwork annually using this form.

4. Subscribe to our eNewsletter "Heartbeats Online" as this is one of the main forms of communication with our volunteers.
